Basic Life Support for Infants and Children
What you will learn
The maximum duration for a class is 3 hours and a maximum of 10 people can be taught effectively
Certificates are made available at the end of the course
- Safe assessment of the infant and child in a potentially life threatening situation
- How to correctly give life saving breaths and chest compressions, where necessary
- Recognition of choking and how to intervene safely
- The recovery position

How the class works
- The classes are held at your home or a venue of your choice
- Real time demonstration using an anatomically correct training mannequin
- Explanation of why we do what we do rather than just being told, with time for questions throughout the entire session
- Hands-on practice to consolidate what you have learnt
- Hand outs on all topics covered
- Reflection through further questions and demonstration, as required
First responder classes for GP/Dental and private practises
- Basic life support for Adults, Infants & Children
- Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) recognition and treatment
- Anaphylaxis - recognition and treatment
- AED update/tuition as required

- Certification valid for one year

How much will a Resus Andy class cost you or your organisation ?
Basic Life Support for Infant and Children - includes Adult Basic Life Support at no extra cost
- £25 per person or £40 per couple - minimum class size 6 people
- PLEASE NOTE - classes outside of Northamptonshire/Leicestershire a fee of £5 per person is added to allow for transport time and costs

Bumps & Bruises Class - covering common accidents, injuries and illnesses that affect infants and children. The class aims to improve your confidence in dealing with situations relating to injuries and minor illness - same price as the Basic Life Support for infant and Children
